Quite a weekend for Pete Crow-Armstrong, who homered four times and more or less sewed up his MVP campaign a month early.
It was also quite a weekend for the PCA card market.
It had been over a year since there was a new record public sale in the Pete Crow-Armstrong card market, but now there’s a new mark:
? A NEW RECORD FOR PCA CARDS ?The 2024 Topps Dynasty Gold Pete Crow-Armstrong Rookie Patch Auto 1-of-1 just sold for $66,000 on Fanatics Collect, making it his most expensive sale ever. This same card sold for $26.7K back in July 2025, a $39.3K jump in just over a year ? pic.twitter.com/lWNaCRCEI9
— Sports Card Investor (@SportsCardInv) August 29, 2026As we discussed recently, PCA’s card market has been a rocket ship of late, right alongside his performance, so it’s not a surprise that there’s a new record. His previous record public sale was a 2020 Bowman Chrome 1st Auto Red /5 in a BGS 9.5 back in June of 2025 for $50,400.
Note the word “public” there. It’s possible some of his most premium cards have traded hands privately, but we don’t have data on those sales.
The interesting thing here is that this sale suggests a much, much bigger one is coming. This sale is a 1/1 with one of the best patches you’ll see, but it’s not necessarily one of his top few cards, and it’s still raw. Given that, and the fact that his other top public sales are from more than a year ago, it’s safe to say that as soon as a rookie super or and /1 or /5 Bowman Chrome 1st auto comes on the market (to say nothing of his debut patch or Bowman Chrome 1st super), this record will get obliterated.
My guess is we see something like that hit the auction block after PCA wins his MVP award.
For added (surprising to me) context, Yoshinobu Yamamoto’s same 1/1 Dynasty Gold Rookie Patch Auto sold in the same auction for $78,000. Not that I am throwing around $70K in any case, but I feel like I’d much rather have PCA’s at his price than Yamamoto’s at his. (PCA’s is a better patch, too.)
