VENTURA, Calif. (KEYT) – A 32-year-old Ventura man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a Monday morning stabbing that hospitalized a 58-year-old Oxnard man.
An investigation into the stabbing resulted in the identification of a 32-year-old Ventura man as the suspect and he was located Wednesday evening at his current residence at the local Vagabond Inn detailed the Ventura Police Department in a press release Thursday.
Once located, detectives executed a search warrant at the man's motel room to search for evidence connected to Monday's stabbing explained the local law enforcement agency.
According to Ventura Police, the 32-year-old was arrested and booked into the Ventura County Jail for assault with a deadly weapon.
Despite that arrest, the investigation remains open and anyone with more information about this crime is asked to contact Sergeant Fabian Gutierrez with the Major Crimes Unit at 805-339-4428.
