Final Concerts by the Shore
The 40th season of Concerts by the Shore wraps up on Wednesday. The Uptown Groove, which plays hits throughout the ages, will close out the free concert series at the pavilion in Ontario Beach Park.
The concert starts at 7 p.m. Parking is available at the beach, and food vendors will be there. The series kicked off on June 10, and this marks its 13th week.
Food Truck Rodeo
Food Truck Rodeo continues at the Rochester Public Market. The market will be full of all kinds of food trucks and live music from Earthtones from 5 to 9 p.m.
Food Truck Rodeo takes place on the last Wednesday of each month from April through September. The final event will be on Sept. 30, with music from Mr. Heartache.
New York State Fair kicks off
The Great New York State Fair kicks off on Wednesday, bringing music from all-star acts, rides, food, and other entertainment to Syracuse. The All-American Rejects will perform on Wednesday night as part of the Suburban Park Stage series.
The fair runs through Labor Day (Monday, Sept. 7) at the fairgrounds on 581 State Fair Blvd, just off the Thruway. All concerts, exhibits, and other entertainment are included with the price of admission.
Single-day admission costs $8.32 with fees. You can get tickets online through the fair’s website or by calling Etix toll-free at 1-800-514-3849 on weekdays and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. People can also buy electronic tickets at the gate starting on the fair’s opening day.
