Very seasonal August weather with coastal marine layer and inland warmth gracing the region. We expect more of the same for Sunday with maybe just a few degrees of warming inland possible. Morning fog should stay mostly right along the coastal plain with some locally dense fog possible.Winds will be a bit gusty in some areas early before quieting down overnight. Look for highs on Sunday to be mostly in the 70's for beach communities with 80's and 90's farther inland.
Looking ahead, a gradual increase in high pressure is expected as we head back to work and school. Monday should see a fe areas start to creep in to the mid and even upper 90's with further warming through the work week. Heat advisories will likely come in to play for our warmest valleys by the middle of the week when a few areas hit the low one hundreds. Fog will stay in play for the immediate coastline and should follow the usual late Summer routine of burning off by late morning for most beaches. Winds from the north an northwest could create heightened fire concerns for all areas, especially below passes and canyons near the Gaviota region from Monday night on in to most of next week.
