August 3-7, 2026 Irvine, CA LCM (50 Meters) Meet Central Psych Sheets Live Results Live Stream Live Recaps Prelims: Day 1| Day 2 | Day 3 Finals: Day 1| Day 2 | Day 3Waterloo swimming shattered the 15-18 and 17-18 NAG records in the 200 medley relay to round off day 3 at the 2026 U.S. Junior National Championships, clocking a time of 1:39.61 to hack more than two seconds off the previous 17-18 standard. They took the win over NASA Wildcat Aquatics, who were also under the old record in 1:41.03, by 1.40 seconds.
The former record in the 15-18 age group was a 1:41.44 set by the Mason Manta Rays (but not the Foster brother Mason Manta Rays) at this meet last year. The 17-18 mark was a 1:41.93 from the 2022 Junior National Championships.
Ben Jaggers backed up his dominant victory in the 50 back with a leadoff leg of 25.18, just 0.15 seconds off the 25.03 he posted on Monday, before handing over to 50 breaststroke finalist Max Laine, who had the fastest split in the field at 27.82.
Jaggers’ leadoff was also the fastest of anyone last night, and at the halfway point they were more than a second and a half ahead off the old record, 53.00 to 54.74.
Sawyer Stolarczyk split 24.36 on fly, with Julian Rusk throwing down his second 22-low split of the week on the anchor with a 22.25, having split 22.46 on the 4×50 free relay which placed 6th on day 1.
They were faster than the former record, set by Dynamo Swim Club at 2022 Speedo Junior Nationals, on three of the four legs. Owen McDonald, who has just finished up his NCAA career at Indiana, was slightly faster on fly at 24.24.
NASA Wildcat Aquatics in second had splits of 26.44 from Velizar Filipov, 28.13 from Noah Chen, 23.97 from Ethan Chung, and 22.49 from Aidan Kaplan. Chung’s fly split was the fastest in the field.
This is the third NAG record in the 200 medley relay that Waterloo Swimming have broken over the last year or so. They lowered the 15-16 NAG record last May in a time of 1:44.53, with Jaggers and Rusk featuring, and then broke the 15-16 NAG record in the 200 yard medley relay at Winter Juniors in December. Jaggers and Rusk were also in that quartet, along with Max Laine.

Stolarczyk was four tenths of a second under his best of 24.79, having placed 3rd in the 100 fly ‘B’ final earlier last night in a new lifetime best of 54.17.
Jaggers, Laine, and Stolarczyk will be back in action today, taking on the 100 back (56.18, #4 seed), 200 breast (2:21.57, #49 seed) and 50 fly (24.79, #12 seed), respectively.
Jaggers, Rusk, and Laine are all members of the class of 2027, with Rusk committed to Florida State in the ACC and Jaggers committed to ASU in the Big 12. Stolarczyk, the only swimmer of the four in the class of 2026, is committed to UNC.
This is the third relay NAG record set in the history of Waterloo, who are coached by Will Trusler, after setting their first last May.
