WARREN — Two women, one from Warren and one from Campbell, pleaded guilty Wednesday to various charges and will be sentenced later.
Nina Colbert, 26, of Belvedere Avenue, Warren, pleaded guilty to two counts of robbery, one count of felony burglary and one count misdemeanor domestic violence before Trumbull County Common Pleas Court Judge Sean O’Brien. She was convicted of breaking into the Belvedere Avenue home of an 88-year-old woman and knocking her to the ground in April.
She also was convicted of robbing her 73-year-old grandmother. She could face indefinite prison sentencing totaling up to 36 years if the terms are run consecutively.
She will undergo a presentencing background check before she is sentenced, but no date has been set.
In a separate plea before O’Brien, Kimara McKinney, 21, of Coitsville Road, Campbell, pleaded guilty to felony counts of intimidation and identity fraud, plus misdemeanor theft, two counts of misdemeanor assault and one count of misdemeanor obstructing official business.
The case involved an incident at the Subway on Warren-Sharon Road in Brookfield on July 23, 2025, where McKinney assaulted two employees, took a cellphone and left the business.
The Brookfield police report stated McKinney got upset because the employees would not let her use the bathroom.
When she was stopped by Brookfield police, she gave false information to the officer and also threatened the officer, according to the prosecutor’s office.
Sentencing for McKinney is scheduled Aug. 12.
