1994 Soft Rock Song, Once Spent 33 Weeks Charting, Became a Summer Breakthrough Hit ...Saudi Arabia

Crow wrote the song alongside Kevin Gilbert, Bill Bottrell, David Baerwald, and Wyn Cooper, with Bottrell receiving production credits. Although Cooper wasn't involved in the writing session, his poem, "Fun," served as the inspiration for the song and earned him a songwriting credit.

Crow discussed the origins of “All I Wanna Do” during an appearance on the Build interview series. She explained how the poem that inspired the song made its way to her and how it perfectly matched a melody she and her co-writers had developed during one of their first jam sessions.

“...One of our very first jam sessions, we jammed up this track that felt like Stealers Wheel, and I started singing the poem over it, thinking, ‘Well. I’ll write lyrics for it later,’” she recalled. “I… tried to replace [the lyrics] and finally just called the poet Wyn Cooper, and said, ‘Hey. We’re gonna give you 50% of the publishing, because we just used your poem.’”
