CA TROJ LA Invitational
July 11-13, 2026 Uytengsu Aquatics Center, Los Angeles, CA LCM (50 meters) “2026 LAI At USC” on Meet MobileThe stars were out in abundance at the Los Angeles Invite, including the likes of Jack Alexy, Drew Kibler, and Santo Condorelli as they headlined the action in the city of angels.
US Olympian Drew Kibler, the former Texas Longhorn, also made his presence felt in Los Angeles, managing to swim a lifetime best in the 50 free in 22.11, lowering his former best from the US National Championships in 2023 by one-hundredth of a second (22.12). Kibler, better known for his work in the 100 and 200 freestyles, also raced the 100 free; he clocked a finals swim of 49.35 after charging to a 48.76 out of the prelims. That time marked his fastest time since the 2024 US Olympic Trials in 2024 of 48.72.
Alexy only raced a pair of individual events, headlined by the 100 free, where he clocked 48.69, which marked his fastest performance since March at the China Open when he clocked 47.70. Prior to that race, Alexy hadn’t been below 49 seconds since March. Alexy also led off the 200 free relay in 22.17; similar to the 100 free, that time marked his fastest since the China Open (21.57), when he raced Australian Cam McEvoy in a race where he would eventually break the longstanding world record in the event in 20.88. Alexy also swam a prelims 200 free, finishing 74th in 2:01.37.
Condorelli raced both the 50 free and 100 fly, capturing the 100 fly win in 52.85, which was over half a second slower than his prelims performance of 52.28. He also finished 3rd in the 50 free, only behind Calvyn Justus (22.17) and Kibler. Condorelli finished about two tenths outside of the win in 22.38. In the prelims, Condorelli was six hundredths quicker in 22.32.
Justus, on top of his win in the 50 free, also added the 50 fly, a tenth of a second quicker than Indiana Swim Club’s Finn Brooks (23.76), clocking 23.66.
On the women’s side, Justina Kozan was unstoppable, winning every event that she raced; those wins included the 200 free (1:59.71), 100 fly (59.14, lifetime best), 200 Fly (2:13.15), 200 IM (2:13.57), and the 400 IM (4:41.52).
