This week, we re-air a spectacular performance of Pink Floyd’s “Time” and “Great Gig in the Sky” by the House Band at School of Rock Chapel Hill, as part of the latest monthly round of Studio Sessions with School of Rock Chapel Hill on 97.9 The Hill’s “Live & Local.” This month’s Studio Sessions featured the final performances of seven House Band members who all recently graduated high school: Joshua Bosworth, Brooke Briner, Ripley Florek, JJ Helbert-Meacham, Conlan Sharp, Grant Watson, and Katie Wilson.

If you want to catch the House Band live before the seniors move on, they’re holding a senior sendoff show this Saturday, July 25, at Cat’s Cradle Back Room. It’s free and open to the public, but they are accepting $10 donations at the door to help students with financial need.
