Alabama’s frontcourt for the 2026-27 season just got a lot taller on Monday afternoon with the commitment of 7-foot Canadian center TJ St. Louis.
Filling the last scholarship slot for Nate Oats’ program for the upcoming season, St. Louis’ commitment makes it 9 newcomers for the Crimson Tide for next season. The Ontario product, who is listed at 265 pounds to go with his 7-foot frame, will be traveling a long way south to Tuscaloosa to launch his collegiate basketball career.
For Alabama basketball fans who can’t wait until November, here is a highlight-reel full of highlights from the very tall Canadian who’ll be looking to make an immediate impact in the SEC next season.
The addition of St. Louis gives Oats even more frontcourt depth for the upcoming season after he already brought in a trio of centers via the transfer portal. This time, Oats has gone north of the border to lure a big man in St. Louis, who starred at Fort Erie Prep in Ontario last season. St. Louis also participated in the NBA Academy Latin America, so he brings a wealth of experience in a lot of different places to Oats’ already stacked roster for next season.
St. Louis’ 247Sports profile doesn’t currently show a 247Sports Composite rating.
Alabama’s other high school newcomers for next season includes 4-star products Qayden Samuels, Jaxon Richardson, Tarris Bouie and Anderson Diaz. The transfer portal haul for Alabama includes Boise State center Drew Fielder, NC State forward Cole Cloer, Mississippi State center Jamarion Davis-Fleming and Kentucky center Brandon Garrison.
