My trip to the dentist had me feeling like a “Through the Wire” version of Kanye West. At least the swelling and numbness have subsided enough so I can speak.
Good morning, Chicago Bears fans! Your chance to get tickets to attend training camp practices at Halas Hall opens up at 10 a.m. today:REMINDER ?Limited tickets for 2026 LRS Training Camp become available tomorrow at 10 a.m. CT.
— Chicago Bears (@ChicagoBears) July 7, 2026 You can read more about the Bears’ training camp practice open dates here. YIKE! The New York Jets have just one training camp practice that is open to the public. And while they also have six others open to season ticket holders, I hope this is not a trend other NFL teams follow. Our countdown to Week 1 of the 2026 NFL regular season continues:We are 6⃣7️⃣ days from the Bears kicking off the 2026 regular season vs. the Panthers.Orland Park native Dan Feeney wore No. 67 for the Bears in 2023, his only season with the team. Feeney played in 16 games, but made just one start. But, hey, he had a pretty sweet mullet. pic.twitter.com/yLI7vlP9ow
— Bleacher Nation Bears (@BN_Bears) July 8, 2026 Here are some other guys who have worn No. 67 for the Bears over the years: C Jerry Fontenot (1989-1996), C Sam Mustipher (2020-2022), LG/RG/DT George Seals (1965-1971), OL Chris Spencer (2011-12), OT Jordan Mills (2013-14).THE BN BEARS PODCAST: Apple | Spotify | YouTube
New center Garrett Bradbury is set to wear No. 67 in 2026. Things are lining up for Bradbury to be Chicago’s starting center this season. However, I still wouldn’t rule out the possibility of second-round pick Logan Jones sliding into the starting role during his rookie season. Maybe it won’t happen right away. But we saw last year how willing Bears Head Coach Ben Johnson was to shake things up along the offensive line when things weren’t working out. — Devan Kaney (@Devan_Kaney) July 7, 2026 Former Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold is now a free agent after clearing waivers. Arnold, a first-round pick by Detroit in 2024, is facing legal issues after a recent arrest on felony charges of armed robbery and kidnapping. There is an expectation that Arnold will visit teams interested in bringing him on board, but I’m not interested in seeing the Bears do so. Arnold posted a 52.6 overall grade from Pro Football Focus in 2025, which ranked him 97th of 114 cornerbacks. And since debuting in 2024, Arnold’s 49.5 PFF grade ranked 70th among 72 cornerbacks (h/t Lions Wire) with at least 1,200 defensive snaps. Mike Florio’s breakdown of the financial ramifications of the Terrion Arnold release makes for a fascinating read. News that Michael Irvin will contribute to Netflix’s Home Run Derby coverage made me do a double-take to make sure someone wasn’t trying to pull a fast one on me. Would I have turned down an invitation to attend the Travis Kelce-Taylor Swift wedding? No. But NBA legend Charles Barkley did, and I completely understand why. With that being said, I would have loved to be at a table with the Chuckster and Sabrina Carpenter because I think that would have been comedy gold and great storytelling. At this stage of my life, I’m realizing that the best weddings are the ones where you’re at a table with good storytellers.FOLLOW BN BEARS ON SOCIAL MEDIA: Facebook | Twitter | BlueSky
Oh my! *THREE* separate errors allowed for a three-run Little League home run for the New York Mets. Usually, this kind of stuff happens *TO* the Mets. But because this is the New York Mets we’re talking about, two good things can’t happen on the same day. The Kansas City Royals ended up victorious, pulling away with a 16-12 win in a final score that looks like something the Chiefs and Jets would put together during a preseason battle. Chicago Bulls free agent Guerschon Yabusele is leaving the NBA to hoop in Greece. Yabusele had a wild ride last season, which began with the New York Knicks and ended with him landing in Chicago. Maybe he will return to the NBA someday. Hopefully, the Bulls’ bigs will play so well that a return to Chicago isn’t something folks pine for in the future. Even though nobody does the “announcement of an upcoming announcement” bit better than the NFL, kudos to the NHL for trying their hand at it. Over at BN Blackhawks, Tab Bamford has details on the league announcing when it will announce its 2026-27 schedule.More Bears From Bleacher Nation: Go Ad-Free | Subscribe to the BN Newsletter
