Durr recently concluded a seven-year stint on BBC medical drama Casualty, where he played nurse David Hide, who left Holby City following the tragic death of his overworked colleague, Robyn (Amanda Henderson).
Previously, he'd become well-known to the nation through his role on police drama Heartbeat, where he was part of the main cast between seasons 7 and 12, playing PC Mike Bradley.
Notably, Linda Carter was one of several characters implicated in a mysterious flash-forward, which positioned her as a potential bride to Max Branning (Jake Wood). Could this new love interest rule her out?
