According to an alert published by NWS, the touchdown occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. in the Saddlebrook Farms subdivision in the community.
The tornado was classified as an EF-0, with estimated peak wind gusts of 80 miles per hour, according to officials.
Several downed trees and minor roof damage were reported with the tornado, which was on the ground for approximately one-quarter of a mile, according to a preliminary damage estimate.
The twister did lead to a brief tornado warning in Lake County on Wednesday night, with Doppler radar detecting the rotation of the tornado to prompt the warning. There were no injuries reported, officials said.
