As of the poll closing on Monday (June 15), readers voted for the Bangtan Boys more than 8 million times in response to a prompt asking who they were most excited to see. Coming in second was LISA, who commanded about 43% of the responses with more than 6.5 million, compared to BTS’ 54%.

Both K-pop acts dominated the survey, but Shakira, Anitta, Katy Perry, Madonna and more were also contenders.

The 2026 World Cup kicked off on Thursday (July 11), with the opening matches and festivities taking place jointly in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
