Speaking to Radio Times in the wake of that surprise cliffhanger, she explained: "It will slightly depend on how popular the show is... if I get a season 2, [the finale] leads to something that is very chosen, that has already been decided upon."
Meanwhile, in a conversation for the Radio Times Writers' Room, she revealed that two seasons is likely to be the extent of Alice and Steve's runtime. "I'm not sure that there'd be more than that," added Goodhart.
