Disney+ is yet to announce whether Alice and Steve has been renewed for season 2 or cancelled, but creator Sophie Goodhart has made it known that she'd like to make another chapter.
Speaking to Radio Times in the wake of that surprise cliffhanger, she explained: "It will slightly depend on how popular the show is... if I get a season 2, [the finale] leads to something that is very chosen, that has already been decided upon."
Meanwhile, in a conversation for the Radio Times Writers' Room, she revealed that two seasons is likely to be the extent of Alice and Steve's runtime. "I'm not sure that there'd be more than that," added Goodhart.
If a second season of Alice and Steve were to be ordered, there's reason to be hopeful that the new episodes could be turned around in 12-18 months, which would point to a 2027 launch date.
That's just speculation for now, though – we'll update this page once any concrete details emerge.
Who could star in a potential Alice and Steve season 2?
If Alice and Steve were to be renewed for a second season, we'd expect Nicola Walker and Jemaine Clement to reprise the title roles – so long as their characters do survive the outcome of that cliffhanger finale.

As mentioned above, creator Sophie Goodhart has "decided upon" what happens next, but it's not yet confirmed whether her vision will make it to the screen.
