Are you ready to spend Thanksgiving with the NFL?

The Chicago Bears’ 2026 schedule is a tough one. But with a challenging schedule comes some worthwhile perks, including a fair amount of primetime appearances. There are seven standalone games on Chicago’s schedule, including a pair of Monday Night Football games we discussed when breaking down this year’s MNF showdowns. Next up in this series exploring games in the NFL’s prime viewing windows is a look at the Thanksgiving slate of games, which also includes the Bears.

2026 NFL Schedule: The Thanksgiving Week Slate is Loaded!

This is what the 2026 Thanksgiving Week slate of games looks like for the NFL.

THANKSGIVING EVE — Nov. 25: Green Bay Packers at Los Angeles Rams, 7 p.m. CT on Netflix THANKSGIVING — Nov. 26: CHICAGO BEARS at Detroit Lions, noon CT on CBS THANKSGIVING — Nov. 26: Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys, 3:30 p.m. CT on FOX THANKSGIVING — Nov. 26: Kansas City Chiefs at Buffalo Bills, 7:20 p.m. CT on NBC BLACK FRIDAY — Nov. 27: Denver Broncos at Pittsburgh Steelers, 2 p.m. CT on Amazon Prime SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL — Nov. 29: New England Patriots at Los Angeles Chargers, 7:20 p.m. CT on NBC MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL — Nov. 30: Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 7:15 p.m. CT on ESPN:

This doesn’t even include the Monday NIght Football game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Washington Commanders, which techinically is a part of the Week 11 slate of games. However, for all intents and purposes, that particular MNF game signifies the beginning of a week of Thanksgiving festivities.

It also doesn’t include a pair of MACtion games (Kent State at Eastern Michigan and Miami (Ohio) at Western Michigan) on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Nor does it include a slate of Black Friday college football games that includes the Egg Bowl (Mississippi State at Ole Miss), Florida vs. Florida State, and Texas at Texas A&M. And for good measure, I suppsoe we should note that Aurburn-Alabama, South Carolina-Clemson, Illinois-Northwestern, USC-UCLA, and Michigan-Ohio State are college football games being played on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

Because I had a moment to sit with my thoughts on an extended train trip today, I ranked the five Thanksgiving Week games in order of how much I am looking forward to watching them:

Bears at Lions — Duh. It’s Episode III of the battle of student (Ben Johnson) vs. teacher (Dan Campbell) with a holiday backdrop. You already know I’ll be locked in. Chiefs at Bills — This rivalry game just doesn’t disappoint. The games between the Bills and Chiefs are always tightly contested and entertaining. This is quite the nightcap for the Thanksgiving tripleheader. Packers at Rams — Bears fans are going to be pulling up to Netflix looking like the Dillon Brooks meme for this hate watch. With that being said, watching social media during this one might be more fun than watching the game action. Michigan at Ohio State — The Buckeyes ended a losing streak against Michigan by beating the Wolverines at the Big House. I consider this game to be the premier college football rivaley and is always appointment television for me. Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers — With the Bears playing on Thanksgiving as part of a loaded schedule, there is a good chance I’ll sleep on on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. If everything goes to plan, I’ll wake up in time for the 3:25 p.m. CT game on FOX between these NFC West rivals.
