The end is near for Aaron Rodgers.
When asked if this would be his last year in the NFL by media in PIttsburgh, Rodgers said it simply: “Yes. This is it.”
Things are setting up for Aaron Rodgers’ last ride. Better late than never, I suppose:
Aaron Rodgers says "yes" this is last year.

For what it’s worth, Rodgers shared similar sentiments last season. This is from a post we wrote in June 2025:
“I’m pretty sure this is it. That’s why we just did a one-year deal. The Steelers didn’t need to put any extra years on it or anything. This was really about finishing with a lot of love, and fun, and peace for the career that I’ve had. I’ve played 20 freaking years. It’s been a long run and I’ve enjoyed it. And what better place to finish than in one of the cornerstone franchises of the NFL with Mike Tomlin, a great group of leadership, great guys, and a city that expects you to win.”
Again, I’ll believe it when Rodgers’ retirement when I see it. And even then, I’ll probably need to do my own research just to make sure the news is real.

For instance, there are primetime games against the Cleveland Browns (Week 4, Thursday Night Football), Cincinnati Bengals (Week 10, Sunday Night Football), and Jacksonville Jaguars (Week 14, Monday Night Football). Rodgers and the Steelers are also slated to play on Black Friday against the Denver Broncos. And for good measure, the NFL is sending the Steelers across the pond to face the New Orleans Saints in Paris. I just hope we can get through that Week 7 matchup without an international incident.
Unfortunately (?) for Rodgers, there are no games against NFC North teams on the regular-season schedule. So, unless the Bears and Steelers meet in the Super Bowl, our final memory of Rodgers in this rivalry will be that he ducked Chicago in Week 12 of the 2025 season.
