The UNC women’s golf team will be the No. 2 seed at the NCAA’s Chapel Hill Regional at Finley Golf Club, which will be contested Monday, May 11 through Wednesday, May 13.

The Tar Heels are one of 12 teams, along with six individual players, competing in the Chapel Hill Regional. The top five teams and the low individual not on one of those five teams after 54 holes (three rounds) of competition will then advance to the NCAA Championship in California, which begins May 22. Chapel Hill is one of six regional sites across the country.
Texas is the No. 1 seed in the Chapel Hill Regional. No. 3 Mississippi State, No. 4 Oklahoma State and No. 5 Kent State round out the top five seeds, while No. 6 Virginia and No. 8 NC State represent the ACC alongside UNC. The regional hosts are announced several years in advance and are not determined by seeding or a team’s performance during the season. This year marks the first time the women’s golf program is hosting an NCAA regional since 2001. The men’s program hosted a regional at Finley Golf Club in 2024.
UNC enters the Chapel Hill Regional sitting at No. 12 in the national rankings. This is the fifth consecutive season the Tar Heels have earned a bid to a regional under head coach Aimee Neff, and Carolina is aiming to reach the NCAA Championship for the second time in three seasons.
