The Arizona Cardinals hosted Penn State quarterback Drew Allar for a top 30 visit on Tuesday, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
Allar is coming off an abbreviated final season at Penn State due to a broken ankle that sidelined him just six games into the year.
Before going down, he completed 64.8% of his throws for 1,100 yards and eight touchdowns to three interceptions. He added 172 yards and a score on 36 carries.
Despite the unceremonious ending to his college career, Allar worked up an impressive resume in four seasons of work, highlighted by his 61 touchdowns to just 13 interceptions.
He’s one of just three FBS quarterbacks to throw at least 1,000 passes (1,002) and have fewer than 15 picks. Caleb Williams and Marcus Mariota are the other two.
Allar also set the school record for career completion percentage at 63.2%.

He brings with him plenty of size to the position, too, at 6-foot-5 and 228 pounds.
“If you’re looking for more of a developmental option — high-risk, high-reward — Drew Allar would make sense from Penn State,” The Athletic’s Dane Brugler told Arizona Sports’ Bickley & Marotta last week.
“It was such a bummer for him that he missed the second half of his senior year with the ankle injury. He didn’t really get a chance to show what he could do down the stretch.”
NFL.com’s Chad Reuter has Allar landing with the Los Angeles Rams in the fifth round (No. 157 overall) in his five-round mock draft published April 3. The Cardinals hold the No. 143 pick in that round.
