Sami Whitcomb is reportedly re-signing with the Phoenix Mercury, ESPN’s Chiney Ogwumike announced on Sunday.
The two-time WNBA Champion is back for her 10th year in the league and her second season in the desert.
Whitcomb, 37, played in 43 games (20 starts) in 2025 and averaged 9.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 0.8 steals.
She finished tied for seventh in the league with 86 3-pointers made (setting a team high) and just three off her single-season high she set in 2023 as a member of the Seattle Storm. Whitcomb became one of only two players in franchise history to make at least 80 3-pointers in a season (Diana Taurasi).
Last season, she also tied Kara Lawson for the most 3-pointers made off the bench in a career in WNBA history (306).
