ROCHESTER, N.Y. – A big dome of high-pressure settled in over the great lakes and the northeast for this Saturday. Even though temperatures were slightly below normal, the bright sunshine made up for the difference and brought a pleasant day. However, that high-pressure center will be moving east for Sunday and that will bring another round of changes for Western New York.
The clear skies will remain for the evening, then clouds will begin to increase after midnight. The temperature will fall to the low to the middle 30s. Sunday will feature mostly cloudy skies with just a few passing showers. The greatest chance of rain will be between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM. The temperature will moderate to close to 60 degrees by the end of the day.
Monday and Tuesday will be breezy and warmer with a few more passing showers or a thundershower. Typically the high temperature this time of the year is in the mid-50s, but it will be unseasonably warm for both days with the temperature within a few degrees of 70. In fact, the News10NBC First Alert meteorologists anticipate warmer spring weather to continue right into this next weekend.
The News10NBC threat tracker will remain green for this upcoming week with little to no chance of severe weather expected at this time.
