The 2026 National Junior Team Camp coaching staff for the women’s and men’s camps is finalized, with one head coach and three assistant coaches per camp. The women’s camp is April 10-14, and the men’s camp is April 15-19, both to be held at the Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Between the two camps, almost 70 athletes will be attending.

“The strength of this camp lies in the caliber of the coaching staff,” said Brendan Hansen, USA Swimming Director of the National Junior Team. “This experienced and dynamic staff will create an environment that sharpens focus and prepares our athletes for success on the road to LA 2028 and Brisbane 2032. These coaches will make a lasting impact as they draw from their wide range of experiences to help develop the next generation of elite athletes.”

The women’s team camp will be led by head coach Mike DeBoor and will consist of 34 women. DeBoor has been the head coach at Lakeside Swim Team since 1994, has been awarded the Kentucky Swimming Senior Coach of the Year 15 times, and has earned the ASCA Age Group Coach of the Year award twice. He has served as head coach for two prior National Junior Team Camps as well as numerous National Select Camps and international competitions. DeBoor will be leading assistant coaches Brent Arckey (Head Coach and CEO of the Sarasota Sharks), Allie Fogleman (Assistant National Coach at Jersey Wahoos Swim Club), and Joe Keller (Head Coach at Fishers Area Swimming Tigers).

The men’s team camp will be led by head coach Kevin Zacher and will consist of 39 men. He is currently the Head Coach at Santa Clara Swim Club. Previously, Zacher coached at every level within the Scottsdale Aquatic Club (SAC) and was named the Head Coach and CEO in 2007. During his time with SAC, Zacher has coached numerous swimmers who have claimed Olympic medals, U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Swimming time standards, National Age Group records, individual National Championships, Junior and Senior National qualifiers, and National Top 10 rankings. He has been named the ASCA Arizona Coach of the Year three times. Zacher will be leading assistant coaches Chuck Batchelor (Director of Competitive Swimming and Head Coach at SwimMAC Carolina), Nacim Bouferrache (Head Coach at The Dolphins Portland Swimming), and Carlene Takaki (Associate Head Coach and Senior Coach at West Coast Aquatics).
