Pre-Gamin’: Bulls at Wizards (6:00 PM CT) – Projected Lineups, How to Watch, More ...Middle East

Sport by : (Bleacher Nation) -

Welcome to round two of the tank-off between the Chicago Bulls and the Washington Wizards. Same matchup, second straight game, one of those rare scheduling quirks that’s more exhausting than exciting.

The Bulls are trying to lose as many games as possible, against a team that’s somehow even harder to lose to than beat.

And yet, despite missing a chunk of their roster, the Bulls still favored to win again tonight, considering they just beat this same team two days ago.

Bulls Bash Wizards as P-Will & Rob Shine: 129 – 98 – April 7, 2026

What To Watch For

The Chicago Bulls are set to take on the Washington Wizards for the second time in three days. Their first matchup, also in Washington, ended in a 31-point blowout win for Chicago. That victory snapped a seven-game skid for the Bulls while extending the Wizards’ losing streak to seven. With the loss, Washington officially secured its protected first-round pick in the 2026 NBA Draft. Meanwhile, Chicago now sits just half a game “ahead” of Milwaukee in the draft lottery standings.

The Wizards have lost 129-98, dropping to 17-62 and guaranteeing that they will keep their protected first-round pick. Even if Washington wins its final three games, it cannot finish worse than third worst in the league standings and cannot fall past seventh in the draft order.…

— Josh Robbins (@JoshuaBRobbins) April 8, 2026 In that win, all 10 Bulls who saw the floor made at least one basket. Six of them scored in double digits, and three finished with over 20 points. It was about as collective a performance as you could ask for, with Collin Sexton flirting with a triple-double and Tre Jones putting together back-to-back 20+ point performances. The biggest surprise of the night, however, came from the two leading scorers: Rob Dillingham and Patrick Williams. Rob dropped a career-high 26 points, his first 20+ point game, while also adding seven rebounds and two steals, finishing as a +24. Even more impressive, he did it all off the bench.

— Chicago Bulls (@chicagobulls) April 8, 2026 Patrick Williams stuffed the stat sheet with 20 points, seven rebounds, six assists, three steals, and a block. He shot 6-of-8 from the field and knocked down two-thirds of his three-point attempts. Like Dillingham, he came off the bench, but still logged the most minutes on the team. When he was on the floor, he posted a game-best +25. It was his first 20-point game of the season, and his first in a win since December 2023. He’s struggled more than almost anyone in the league this year, statistically ranking among the worst, which is why you can expect him to try and replicate that performance and prove he still belongs. For Washington, there’s barely anything positive to take from their last outing, except maybe Julian Reese, the brother of former Chicago Sky star Angel Reese. Just like his sister, he’s proving to be an elite rebounder. He finished with 17 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, three steals, and two blocks. And while the Wizards continue to pile up injuries, Reese isn’t one of them. In just 10 games this season, he’s already recorded four double-doubles and is doing everything he can to earn a spot in what could be a very crowded rotation next year.
