When the Cleveland Browns proposed a rule change that would allow teams to trade draft picks up to five years out instead of three years, it was no surprise that Rams President Kevin Demoff was in support of the idea. It is unexpected that head coach Sean McVay isn’t siding with Demoff.
On Monday, McVay told Kay Adams that there’s a “0-percent chance” of the rule passing and that he’s “not backing that”.
“There’s 0-percent chance that gets through. I respect the courage for Andrew (Berry) to be able to have a very sound reasoning of what’s behind it. If there’s one thing you can bet Vegas odds on, there’s no chance that thing’s getting through. I’m not backing that.”
The Rams are the NFL franchise with the biggest reputation for trading future draft picks, but McVay is practically in disbelief that it’s even on the table and he’s one of the people on the league’s Competition Committee so he would know.

If you wanted the Rams to trade a 2031 first round pick next month, it sounds like there’s going to be a 0-percent chance of that happening.
