BATH, N.Y. — Two people face charges after Bath Police say they gave a man meth, which contributed to his death, and delayed calling for help.
Police have been investigating ever since finding the 61-year-old man dead in a home on West Washington Street on Friday, Feb. 6. According to investigators, when the man lost consciousness, Heather Baker, 37, and Zachariah Cole, 34, waited until after they disposed of evidence to call 911.
Police say Baker and Cole then filed false statements. They were arrested on Monday and both charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence, and falsifying business records.
Baker and Cole were taken to the Steuben County Jail and are being held without bail.
