The Holy Cross product’s best years came in Detroit, with his most notable seasons coming while Bears Head Coach Ben Johnson was the Lions’ offensive coordinator and Antwaan Randle El was his position coach. It isn’t a coincidence that NFL reporter Greg Auman dubbed this “an Antwaan Randle El signing.”

Raymond has scored just four touchdowns in 61 games since his career year in 2021. All in all, this is a nice addition to the Bears’ receivers’ room. No, Kalif Raymond isn’t as accomplished as DJ Moore. And he is not going to put up big numbers in this offense. But it’s not as if he needs to do so in order to be a useful piece of the puzzle. The way I see it, Raymond is a quality role player whose familiarity with the scheme should allow him to blend in nicely with his new teammates.
