Pre-Gamin’: Bulls at Kings (8 PM CT) – Projected Lineups, How to Watch, More ...Middle East

Sport by : (Bleacher Nation) -

I don’t understand how—and I definitely don’t understand why—but tonight the Chicago Bulls could extend their win streak to two games as they take on the most team in the NBA, the Sacramento Kings.

The Bulls, who went winless in the month of February, are now 2–1 in March and have a chance to make that record 3–1. This would not help Chicago’s chances of securing a good draft pick in the 2026 NBA Draft class; in fact, it might pull them even further in the wrong direction.

However, if Chicago does lose tonight, they would be one loss closer to going from a 20% chance to a 26% chance at a top-four pick in what could be one of the most stacked draft classes in NBA history.

Hopefully they realize that tonight.

Collin Sexton, Tre Jones Propel Surprise 105-103 Bulls Road Win Over Suns – March 5, 2026

What to Watch For

Collin Sexton has been thriving for the Chicago Bulls ever since a wave of injuries opened up minutes and opportunities for the recently traded guard. Sexton, who is on an expiring contract, is averaging 24 points per game over his last three games, two of which came off the bench. In the last game he started, he scored 30 points in a winning effort against the Phoenix Suns. He’s currently on a hot streak and is set to take on one of the worst defenses in the NBA. If you connect the dots, another big game could be on the horizon.

— Chicago Bulls (@chicagobulls) March 6, 2026 On the injury report tonight, Josh Giddey, Matas Buzelis, Jalen Smith, and Patrick Williams are all listed as questionable. Keeping them out tonight would prevent them from returning too soon if they aren’t fully healthy. It would also open the door for a loss for Chicago. At the same time, if there were ever an easy game for them to return in, it doesn’t get much easier than this one.

Bulls upgrade Patrick Williams and Jalen Smith to questionable vs. Kings. Matas Buzelis and Josh Giddey also listed as questionable.

— K.C. Johnson (@KCJHoop) March 8, 2026 The Sacramento Kings have a direction, and right now it’s pointing downward. It was clear at the start of the season that they had hopes for a postseason run, but injuries, and, more broadly, roster construction, left the Kings losing more games than they could handle. Now they’ve turned their attention toward a rebuild, shutting down their “good” players in order to fully buy into the tank and develop their young rookies, who have already shown a lot of promise. Even former Chicago Bull, DeMar DeRozan, will miss his first game of the season tonight, against his former team. Since January 18, nearly two months ago, the Kings have won just two games. They have now reached a point where they have stopped making graphics when they lose. For the Bulls to have any chance of losing tonight, it would quite literally take an out-of-body performance from the Kings—something that seems extremely unlikely.

FINAL: Kings fall to the Pelicans, 133-123.? Precious Achiuwa: 29 PTS, 12 REB? Russell Westbrook: 19 PTS, 10 AST? Malik Monk: 18 PTS, 50% FG? Drew Eubanks: 15 PTS, 11 REB

— Sacramento Kings (@SacramentoKings) March 6, 2026 One player the Chicago Bulls will need to watch out for is Precious Achiuwa. Not only does he have one of the coolest nicknames in the NBA, ‘The Big Sneeze’, but he’s also been on a great run of games lately. On a team dealing with so many injuries, someone has to step up and score, and Precious has taken up the reins. In two of his last four games, he’s put up a 29-point double-double—one in a win against the Dallas Mavericks and another in a loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. With the Bulls still lacking any real defensive identity, he could easily find himself putting up another one of those stat lines tonight.
