Dozens of shoppers were prepared to wait hours — rain or shine — on Friday to guarantee their entry to the opening day of Harry Styles’ “Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.” pop-up in Chicago.
Just before noon, roughly 40 eager shoppers were lined up in anticipation of the 4 p.m. opening of the pop-up, located at 1731 N. Damen Ave. in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood. Some in line came with rain ponchos, others with foldable chairs.
The first person in the line said he got to the area around 6 a.m. but waited in his car until roughly 8 a.m.
Second and third in line were Lili Garcia and Lindsey Phelps, who said they also got to the area early to stake out the line. They jumped in line around 8 a.m., they said.

Garcia said she expected there to be a long line after seeing the turnout for Styles’ pop-up shop for his non-binary beauty brand Pleasing that came to the Wicker Park area in 2024.
“I wanted to be close to the front,” Phelps said. Garcia said she took the Metra line in from the far north suburbs of Illinois for the event.
After hours spent watching new shoppers joining the line, both Garcia and Phelps said they’re excited to get in right when the shop opens.
The opening of the pop-up, March 6, coincides with Styles’ album drop.
Chicago is one of 16 cities around the globe where the pop-up shops are opening for the weekend.
The Chicago location will be open from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday, and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The final day of the pop-up is Sunday, March 8.
