Denver police are investigating a suspected homicide after a man died in the city’s Kennedy neighborhood early Sunday morning, according to the department.
Police responded to reports of an assault in the 9700 block of East Hampden Avenue at 2:08 a.m. Sunday, according to the Denver Police Department. The block is northwest of the Cherry Creek Reservoir, across Interstate 225 from the state park.
Paramedics took the victim, a man who has not been publicly identified, to the hospital, where he later died, police said. The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner will release the man’s name and cause of death at a later date.
