During the period between Ash Wednesday and Easter Sunday, many chain restaurants promote fish and seafood.
We did a roundup of chain restaurants at the start of Lent last week, but since then many more promotions have turned up.
Here’s what we learned about from restaurant websites, social media and news releases.
Arby’s: A Crispy Fish Sandwich includes fish fillet with shredded lettuce and tartar sauce on a toasted sesame bun. You can order it by itself for about $5.89 but it’s also available in a “Meat & 3” combo with curly fries, two-piece mozzarella sticks and a small soft drink for $7.99. There’s also a King’s Hawaiian Fish Deluxe sandwich with cheddar cheese and tomato on a King’s Hawaiian roll for $6.99. arbys.com
Benihana: The full-service chain, where chefs put on a show for diners seated around teppanyaki grills, is offering a “Bounty of the Seven Seas” menu through April 5. It includes such items as Lobster & Shrimp Gyoza with ponzu lime sauce for $19, Lobster Fried Rice for $21 and Hibachi Bounty of the Seas with shrimp, scallops, snapper and calamari for $42. benihana.com
Burger King: The Big Fish sandwich is made with white Alaskan pollock and costs around $4.69 by itself. bk.com
Dairy Queen: A Popcorn Shrimp Basket with fries runs about $9.49. dairyqueen.com
Farmer Boys: A two-piece Beer-Battered Fish Box with fries and a small soft drink costs $9.99. You can get an extra piece for $11.99 and there is also a four-piece platter that includes a salad for about $14.99. The fish is Alaska pollock fillets. farmerboys.com
Golden Corral: An All-You-Can-Eat Butterfly Shrimp & Steak promotion runs through April 19. Other options include Cajun Breaded Fried Fish, Seafood Cakes and a $7.99 lobster tale add-on. goldencorral.com
Jack in the Box: The Moby Jack, a throwback item from the San Diego chain’s earlier days, is available through April 5 for around $3.29. It’s made with Panko-breaded wild Alaskan pollock. jackinthebox.com

Luke’s Lobster: This Maine-based quick service chain has set up shop in Santa Monica and Newport Beach. It’s known for its lobster rolls and even has a lobster roll flight for a limited time at about $39. lukeslobster.com
Wendy’s: Wendy’s Crispy Panko Fish Sandwich is available for about $4.19 through April 5. It’s made with Alaskan pollock. wendys.com
