2026 Utah High School Athletic Association 6A State Swimming and Diving Championships
Feb. 20-21, 2026 Provo, UT (BYU) SCY (25 yards) ResultsThe Utah 6A state record books were rewritten over the weekend during the state swimming and diving championships at BYU.
Overall, six 6A records were broken, three by individuals and three by relay teams.
In the team competition, the Wasatch girls and the Lone Peak boys claimed state championships.
Girls’ Recap
New individual records were set by Wasatch seniors Reece Andrews and Ana Diedrichs.
Andrews set a new record in the 100 fly, winning with a time of 56.69 to best the old record of 56.74 set in 2023 by Haylee Tiffany.
Committed to Utah, Diedrichs broke her own 6A record in the 100 breast, coming in with a time of 54.73. She originally broke the record by swimming a time of 55.28 on Jan. 22.
Diedrichs also claimed the 100 free in a time of 51.67.
In addition to the individual wins from Diedrichs and Andrews, Wasatch swept all three relays.
The squad of Elsie Malinka (28.19), Grace Cannon (29.77), Andrews (24.67) and Kasenya Keller (24.18) first won the 200 medley relay in a time of 1:46.81.
The 200 free relay was then won by the Wasatch team of Diedrichs (24.17), Malinka (26.00), Paige Hicken (24.76) and Cannon (24.77) in 1:39.70.
In the 400 free relay, the team of Diedrichs (52.93), Andrews (54.31), Hicken (55.00) and Keller (53.22) claimed that crown in 3:35.46.
Besides Diedrichs, the other multi-event winner was Keller, a senior for Wasatch. Keller won the 200 free in 1:54.21 and the 500 free in 5:16.27, both personal bests. Her time in the 500 handily beat her previous best of 5:23.63.
Other individual winners were:
Syracuse sophomore LayLeigh Turner won the 200 IM in a personal best 2:09.82. Meadow Tatum, a junior from Mountain Ridge, captured the 50 free in a personal best 24.13. Hicken, a junior for Wasatch, won the 100 breast in 1:05.77.Girls Team Standings — Top 5

Brighton senior Luan Barnard set a new record in the 100 back with a time of 47.72, breaking the previous record of 48.25 set by Jordan Tiffany of Lone Peak in 2020.
Barnard also won the 200 free in 1:39.85.
All three winning relay teams also broke new 6A records.
In the 200 medley relay, Brighton’s team of Barnard (22.28), Berett Judkins (26.42), Andrew Shupe (24.69) and Leo Cai (21.59) swam a time of 1:34.98, breaking the record of 1:35.05 set in 2018 by Lone Peak.
Lone Peak’s 200 free relay team followed that up with a record in that event, with the team of Jason Dumas (21.86), Seth Bellows (22.20), Xander Berg (20.32) and Beck Johnson (20.83) coming in with a time of 1:25.21. The time broke the old record the very same team set on Jan. 31.
In the 400 free relay, the Lone Peak squad of Dumas Sr. (47.84), Asher Topham (48.63), Johnson (47.46) and Berg (46.26) won in a time of 3:10.19, breaking the old record 3;10.54 set in 2015 by American Ford.
Thanks to those two relay performances, Lone Peak won the boys’ title by 13 points over Mountain Ridge.
Other multi-event winners besides Barnard were Berg and Mountain Ridge junior Ethan Brown.
A senior for Lone Peak, Berg won the sprint freestyle events, swimming personal bests to take the 50 free (21.09) and the 100 free (46.50).
Brown won the 200 IM in a personal best 1:54.62 and then captured the 100 breast in 54.74.
Weber senior Easton Adams claimed the 100 fly in a personal best time of 50.24, while the 500 free was captured by Riverton junior Brody Schvaneveldt in 4:51.90.
