On Feb. 13, Weld County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 15000 block of Weld County 6, where the property owner reported several trash bags being dumped in front of his property.
When deputies opened the bags, they found suspected marijuana leaves, according to a Weld County Sheriff’s Office news release. More trash bags full of suspected marijuana were also found west of the property.
Deputies found 427 pounds of suspected marijuana, which were left in a secure area to dry, booked into evidence and are set for destruction, according to the release.
In August, deputies responded to a similar call near Weld County Road 20 and Colorado Boulevard, north of Firestone. Deputies also found trash bags full of suspected marijuana weighing about 4.3 pounds, according to an August Weld County Sheriff’s Office news release.
