The two-day Class 4A girls swimming and diving championships wrapped up Friday at the Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center in Thornton.

Numerous Windsor athletes competed in the final events of the season.

The Wizards quartet of senior Ainsley Austin, senior Abbie Sedaghat, junior Madalynne Coe and senior Ann Claire Bosch placed 12th overall in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1 minute, 57.22 seconds.

Coe finished 19th (5:34.85) in 500 freestyle.

The Windsor team of sophomore Ava Jones, Austin, freshman Elizabeth Tschetter and senior Daniella Serrano was 16th (1:47.07) in the 200 freestyle relay.

Sedaghat was 17th (1:11.3) in the 100 breaststroke.

Jones, Serrano, Coe and Bosch were 15th (3:49.64) in the 400 freestyle relay.

Wizards senior Jadyn Hodge (51.52) was fifth (51.52) in the 50 freestyle unified athlete competition.

Windsor placed 16th in the team standings with 77 points. Broomfield won the team title with 367 points.

On Thursday, Wizards senior Reagan Annable was a big point-producer for Windsor, as she placed first in one-meter diving.

Class 3A championships

While the 4A meet wrapped up Friday night at the VMAC, the 3A prelims took place Friday followed by the finals Saturday.

Roosevelt sophomore Liviana White placed second in one-meter diving, falling short by the most slim of margins. She scored a 425.75, a fraction of a point behind St. Mary’s Academy senior Mia Williams, who won the state title with a 426.

Eaton sophomore Arabella Fitch was ninth (344.1) in one-meter diving. Her Reds teammate, senior Kaelin Dugan, was 16th (273.40).

Roosevelt’s quartet of junior Rose Raskey, sophomore Noora Al-Otaibi, junior Clara Claypool and sophomore Cora Balch was 16th (2:07.94) in 200 medley relay.

Claypool placed 12th (5:53.6) in the 500 freestyle. The Rough Riders team of Al-Otaibi, freshman Leah Gutierrez, Claypool and Balch was 13th (1:49.91) in the 200 freestyle relay.

Roosevelt’s squad of senior Rylee Foerster, senior Ailyn Alvarado, junior Olivia Olson and sophomore Brooklyn Rusco was 18th (4:30.21) in the 400 freestyle relay.

The Rough Riders were 21st (62 points) in the team standings, and Eaton was 22nd (19). Kent Denver won the team title with 480 points.

The girls swimming and diving season is slated to wrap up with the 5A championships Tuesday and Wednesday back at VMAC.
