A pedestrian was killed Monday morning in a crash involving a Regional Transportation District A Line train, forcing the transit system to use shuttle buses while the fatal accident is under investigation.

The pedestrian was hit around 10:30 a.m. near Smith Road and Dahlia Street, the Denver Police Department reported on X.

Police closed roads near that intersection and the railroad.

RTD reported that shuttle buses were replacing A Line trains until further notice.
