2026 NBA All-Star Game: Anthony Edwards, Kawhi Leonard, Wembanyama, And Everything You Missed ...Middle East

Sport by : (Bleacher Nation) -

Honestly, what a win for the NBA. The 2026 NBA All-Star Game was amazing. A ton of defense, great moments, highlights, dunks, storylines. It had it all. Players taking it seriously was a win in itself, and you could tell everyone was enjoying it.

Yes, you still had some stars not playing, but in the grand scheme of things, this was the best it’s been in years. Almost every game was decided in the final moments, something you only get when the games are truly competitive. And seeing that Wemby vs. Kawhi matchup in Game 3 has me even more excited for the final stretch of the season.

Team World vs Team USA Stars: Wemby Goes Nuclear, But Loses the Game on A Defensive Lapse

Well, if it wasn’t already a super talent advantage for Team World going into the NBA All-Star Game, the height advantage was definitely real. Anthony Edwards had no chance trying to win the tip over the 7’4″ Frenchman, Victor Wembanyama. Not to mention, three-time league MVP and 6’11” big man Nikola Jokić was starting right alongside him.

And Wemby loves playing in these games. He came out hot, a dunk, a three, and a block over Jalen Duren, stamping out any misconceptions that “height” doesn’t mean “heart.” He set the pace. His stat line of 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 blocks has already made him the favorite to win NBA All-Star Game MVP.

All he needed to do to cement it? Win this tournament. A task almost as tall as him.

The USA Stars initially looked lax, but they went on a 10–2 run to make the game close and competitive. Ant-Man was giving Team USA the juice they needed.

With 11 seconds left, the game was tied. There was actual defense being played in an NBA All-Star Game, and it still ended in a tie.

Now we’re headed into overtime, a first-to-five showdown. But these teams are actually playing hard? Please let this continue.

Team USA got the first two out of five, but Wemby rose up over Scottie Barnes and drilled a three to take the lead. Barnes got his revenge instantly. He caught the ball at the arc and sank the game-winning three.

Team USA reached five first and secured the opening win. Victor Wembanyama was livid over that defensive lapse.

In past years, defensive lapses were the norm in the NBA All-Star Game, but tonight, that wasn’t the case.

Team USA Stars vs Team USA Stripes: De’Aaron Fox Makes the Game Winning Three!

This game had storylines. A chance to be truly competitive. The Legends vs. the Current Stars of the league. A potential passing-of-the-torch moment at the NBA All-Star Game. The Stars just beat Team World in overtime and are right back into the next game. They didn’t get much rest, but their bodies are warm. The Legends, on the other hand, have logged years at the highest level, and their names alone strike fear.

First bucket: LeBron James to Kevin Durant. Oh, this is going to be good, isn’t it? Bron was hitting threes, flying in for putback dunks, and dropping into a deep defensive stance. Kawhi Leonard was picking pockets and knocking down threes. This, this is what we wanted. And I complain a lot, but not about what I was watching.

Jaylen Brown was getting all the highlight plays for Team USA Stripes, and you know Brown always plays with a chip on his shoulder.

The USA Stars followed what worked for them in Game 1, quietly mounting a comeback and making it a close game with a minute left.

Anthony Edwards went one-on-one with his idol, KD, and beat him to cut the lead down to three. Then he did it again, rising up and knocking down a three over him to take the lead, 40–39.

The Stripes had the last possession, last shot, and it ended up in the hands of De’Aaron Fox. Cold-blooded. Three. Game over. Another game decided on the final shot. Beautiful win for the OGs.

Team World vs Team USA Stripes: I’m Sorry Wemby, this is Kawhi’s House

Team World was the only team that hadn’t gotten a win so far, and this was their last chance to do it. No Luka, no Jokic in this one, so it was already an uphill battle.

As you can imagine, fueled by that first loss, Victor Wembanyama was playing with pure anger. He nearly tore the rim down on one of his dunks. He finished the game with 19 points and two rebounds.

But they needed a win, a win by three points or more to advance.

Kawhi Leonard, the hometown hero, had no regard for human life. He scored 11 straight points all by himself. The Fun Guy was truly having fun, going a perfect 7-for-7 from the field and 5-for-5 from beyond the arc, he had 19 points in that stretch and finished with a game-high 31 of the 48 total points scored.

This Wemby vs. Kawhi matchup was feeding generations. Team World went up three, and Leonard tied it instantly. Another game decided in the clutch. These teams were fouling, playing hard defense, and I know I’ve said it already, but it was still so surprising to see.

And when it came down to it, final possession, tied game, Kawhi Leonard, with the hottest hands in Los Angeles, got the hometown love and buried the game-winning three. Team USA Stripes win, and now it’s an all-USA final in the NBA All-Star Game.

2026 NBA All-Star Game Final: Blowout in the Final

A rematch in the finals. The OGs were taking on the Young Stars, but the Legends were now playing their third straight game in a row, and the tiredness was showing.

Team Stars opened the game on a 12–1 run, flipping the narrative almost instantly.

That lead ballooned to 29–9, one of the biggest of the night. The young legs were taking full advantage, while the OGs just couldn’t buy a shot.

The less said about the game itself, the better. Clearly, we found one flaw with the format: fatigue. But this NBA All-Star Sunday was really about the journey more than the destination.

Legend Killer Anthony Edwards took home NBA All-Star MVP honors, leading his team to a 47–21 win in the finals.

Goodbye, Los Angeles. You were truly great.
