It is said to be a story about "the love, darkness, humour, heartbreak and plain weirdness of living alongside that world, and what happens when you’re forced to take control of it".
The series was filmed in and around Glasgow last year, and also stars Sam Riley (Firebrand), Laura Fraser (Patience), Lewis Gribben (Black Mirror) and Lindsay Duncan (Sherwood).
The first four episodes will be premiere at Berlinale - Berlin International Film Festival on Sunday 15 February, before the series arrives on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at some point in spring 2026.
