Counter-terror police have launched an investigation after a 13-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a double stabbing inside a school, police have said.
Two boys, aged 12 and 13, were stabbed at Kingsbury High School in north-west London, according to the Metropolitan Police.
Detective Chief Superintendent Luke Williams said the investigation is now being led by counter terror police, but a terrorist incident has not yet been declared.
He added: “This is a fast moving and developing investigation, but we’re not currently looking for anyone else in relation to this incident.
“At this very early stage, we’re keeping an open mind as to any motivation behind this attack.
“However, due to the surrounding circumstances, the investigation is now being led by officers from Counter-Terrorism Policing London.”
