There's just no guessing what heady heights Industry is going to reach and whilst many fans have predicted the ways in which things will fall for Yasmin (Marisa Abela) and Harper (Myha'la), the most recent season 4 episode pulled quite the surprise with its ending.
Having returned to the season after the murder of his wife, this episode saw us learn a bit more about Rishi, who has remained an illusive figure so far this time around. It seems that on top of being at Harper's beck and call to investigate leads for her own business, Rishi has turned to dealing cocaine from his car with a mysterious woman that he's sexually involved with.
And so begins another Rishi spiral.
Much like the way in which he did it to his CEO pal Jay (Kal Penn), Whitney's complaint made sure to detail James's drug usage and alleged sexual assault of Hayley (Kiernan Shipka). The allegations proved too serious and so, James's boss let him go.
Back at Rishi's apartment, both the booze and drugs are flowing, the music is turned to a head-numbing volume and you can feel something in the air. On their way, they've picked up a random stranger (played by Martin Hancock) who warned them about a drug spiking epidemic and while many fans may have been preoccupied with his suspicious presence, we couldn't have quite predicted what would have happened next.
After coming out of the bathroom though (having done even more cocaine), Rishi finds James dead on the floor and it looks as though he's accidentally overdosed. The music – N-Trance's Set You Free at this point – proves so loud that the police have been called, who are now banging on Rishi's door. What a pickle!
So, he makes the kind of split-second decision that viewers almost cry out for him not to. The banging on the door only intensifies as Rishi hops on the balcony railing. Is it in the hopes of escaping the police, just to hide or to die by suicide? Who knows from the night's conversations.
Seeing as this is yet another deadly situation Rishi has found himself in, we can only wait to see if he can wriggle himself out of it.
