For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.
Sawyer Stolarczyk, a finalist at the 2026 Pro Swim Series in Austin, has announced his verbal commitment to compete for Dartmouth College beginning in the fall of 2026.
“I am ecstatic to announce my verbal commitment to further my academic and athletic career at Dartmouth College! I would like to thank my family for their constant support in my pursuit of swimming in college. I would like to thank all of my coaches and teammates who helped me get to where I am today. And, special thanks to Coach Milana and the team at Dartmouth for making Dartmouth feel like home and like no place I’d rather be. GO BIG GREEN!!!”
A Texas native, Stolarczyk is a senior at Great Hearts Monte Vista in San Antonio, where he has been a member of the swimming and diving team all four years. He also currently trains year-round with Hill Country Aquatics, primarily specializing in free and fly, as well as some IM.
Stolarczyk enjoyed a series of fast performances at the 2025 Justin Sectionals (SCY) in March. He placed 8th in the 200 free in 1:40.55 after setting a best time of 1:38.65 during prelims and placed 13th in the 500 free in 4:30.74, just .61 off the best time he posted in the morning (4:30.13). He also finished 17th in the 100 fly (49.07 – PB), 21st in the 50 free (21.23), 27th in the 100 free (45.66 – PB) and 51st in the 200 fly (1:54.60).
This season, Stolarczyk competed at the Speedo Winter Junior Championship – West in December, where he posted lifetime best times in five events. He placed 9th in the 200 free (1:36.62), 28th in the 200 fly (1:48.63), 31st in the 100 fly (48.49), 36th in the 100 free (44.92) and 43rd in the 500 free (4:28.74), logging new personal bests in each event. He also contested the 50 free (21.16 – SB).
A seven-time Texas high school state champion, Stolarczyk competed at both the 2024 and 2025 iterations of the UIL 4A State Championships. At the 2024 meet, he picked up a state championship title in every event, winning the 100 free (46.52) and 200 free (1:41.10) and helping his team to victory in the 200 free relay and 400 free relay. The 2025 competition saw him successfully defend his title in the 200 free (1:39.12) in addition to prevailing in the 500 free (4:36.95) and the 200 free relay.
Stolarczyk recently raced at the 2026 TYR Pro Swim Series in Austin (LCM), making it to the finals in four events. He placed 10th in the 100 fly (54.53 – PB), 11th in the 200 fly (2:06.64 – PB), 14th in the 200 free (1:53.24) and 20th in the 400 free (4:08.69). He also finished 24th in the 100 free in 53.63 after posting a best time of 52.01 during prelims and contested the 50 fly (24.79 – PB) and 50 free (24.19 – PB).

Based on the results from last season’s conference championships, Stolarczyk would have landed in the ‘B’ final in the 200 free and the ‘C’ final in the 100 fly and the 200 fly, putting him in a position to help score some points early on.
On the team itself, Stolarczyk would have been Dartmouth’s top competitor in the 500 free, 2nd in the 200 free, 4th in the 100 free and 200 fly and 6th in the 50 free and 100 fly, setting him up to be one of the team’s top contributors.
Joining Stolarczyk in the pool next season will be JD Chen (back/breast/IM) and Alex Menshutkin (back/breast/free), who should make for strong training partners over the next four years.
