ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A memorial service for Margaret “Midge” Thomas is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 7, at Memorial AME Zion Church on Clarissa Street. The service will begin at 11 a.m.

Attendees are asked to make donations to the Midge Thomas Special Trade Scholarship Fund instead of sending flowers.
Thomas was the widow of civil rights leader Dr. Freddie Thomas. She made her own impact through decades of support, encouragement, and sacrifice.
She was instrumental in opening the doors to numerous programs and services, including what is now known as Willow Domestic Violence Center.
