The on-time graduation rate for Greeley-Evans School District 6 reached 90.1% in 2025, exceeding the state average of 85.6%, according to the Colorado Department of Education.

In 2025, a total of 1,608 students graduated from District 6 schools, 143 more than the previous year.

The on-time graduation rate reflects students who completed high school in four years.

“We know a high school diploma is essential for our students to reach their career and life goals,” Deirdre Pilch, District 6 superintendent, said in a news release. “A diploma opens the door for opportunities including higher education, industry training, military service and a variety of careers and opportunities.”

Reaching a 90% graduation rate is a goal in District 6’s strategic plan, Innovation2030. The district completed that objective one year earlier than outlined in its strategic plan.

The on-time graduation rate for District 6 in 2015 was 76.9%.

District officials attributed the improvement, in part, to focusing on ninth grade student success, engaging students in extracurricular activities, ensuring students have the academic, social and emotional support they need to thrive and having students participate in career pathways.

The on-time graduation rate in District 6 exceeded the state average in nearly every category including for Hispanic and Latino students whose graduation rate was 89.4% compared to the state average of 81.2%.

The dropout rate for District 6 was 1.2% in 2025, which was below the state average of 1.6%.

“We ultimately don’t want a single student to leave our system without a diploma. It’s a lofty goal, but that is what we are working toward,” Pilch said.
