Organizers of the Enhanced Games have confirmed three more swimmers for its inaugural event in Las Vegas in May.

Bulgarian 26-year-old Antani Ivanov, British 28-year-old Emily Barclay, and Mexican 31-year-old Miguel de Lara Ojeda, are the latest batch of registrants for the substance-fueled spectacle.

Ivanov’s participation was leaked on Monday, with him telling SwimSwam that the Enhanced Games gave him an opportunity after he was barred by his federation from the Olympic movement. Ivanov is in the midst of a series of suspensions that leaves him ineligible to represent Bulgaria until at least 2028.

He was the 2017 World Junior Championships bronze medalist in the 200 fly and 2016 European Junior Championships silver medalist in the 200 fly.

He represented Bulgaria at the 2020 Summer Olympics, finishing 29th in the 100 fly and 20th in the 200 fly. His best time in the 100 meter fly is 51.93 and the 200 meter fly, not yet an announced event at the Enhanced Games, is 1:54.50.

He also represented Virginia Tech in the NCAA, placing 3rd in the 200 fly in 2021.

Emily Barclay, another former NCAA swimmer at Arkansas, becomes just the 4th woman to sign onto the Games, joining Natalie Fryckowska of Poland, Isabella Arcila of Colombia, and Megan Romano of the United States.

Barclay’s last official race came at the Swim England National Championships in December 2021 in short course meters. She made limited international appearances representing Britain during her career, with the highlight being a bronze medal at the 2019 World University Games.

Primarily a sprint freestyler, her lifetime bests in long course are 24.94 in the 50 and 56.45 in the 100, both from 2018. The World Records in those races are 23.61 and 51.71, respectively.

De Lara, meanwhile, qualified for his first Olympic Games in 2023 at 28 years old with a 2:09.60 in the 200 breaststroke. Now 31, he is another swimmer who has spent time training in the United States, including with pro groups based out of Auburn and Virginia Tech (where Ivanov raced on the varsity squad).

De Lara has seven gold medals from the Central American and Caribbean Games in breaststroke races, and was the 2019 bronze medalist in the 200 breaststroke and 2023 bronze medalist in the 100 breaststroke at the Pan American Games.

He competed at the 2025 World Aquatics Championships, where he finished 28th in the 100 breaststroke and 24th in the 200 breaststroke.

He is the Mexican Record holder in both events, with a best of 1:00.14 over 100 meters and 2:09.60 over 200 meters.

He rounds out the field as the fourth Enhanced Games participant in the men’s breaststroke races, with the event focusing on four swimmer timed finals events.

He joins Brazilian Felipe Lima, American Cody Miller, and Russian Evgenii Somov in the men’s breaststroke field.

Announced Enhanced Games Participants

While official details of pay packages are limited, many reports circulating indicate six-figure base salaries for those participating in the Enhanced Games.

Event winners have been promised $500,000, with a sub-World Record time in the 50-meter free being offered a $1 million bonus.

The Enhanced Games this week has moved its training base to Abu Dhabi, with the competition scheduled to take place at Resorts World in Las Vegas from May 21-24, 2026.
