Nahshon Wright is taking his talents to the Pro Bowl Games.
Better late than never, right?
Wright, who was a notable Pro Bowl snub when teams were announced in December, has officially been added to the roster. He will replace fellow cornerback Quinyon Mitchell on the all-star squad.
“I’ve been excited all day,” Wright said via the team’s official website. “My fiancée and I were getting ready to go eat with my kids. When we got to the restaurant, I couldn’t even eat. I’m super excited.”
Nahshon Wright joins left guard Joe Thuney, center Drew Dalman, and safety Kevin Byard III as Chicago Bears players going to the Pro Bowl. Like Dalman, this will be Wright’s first trip to the star-studded festivities.

This is certainly a well-deserved trip to the Pro Bowl for Nahshon Wright. The 27-year-old corner had a career year with the Bears during the 2025-26 NFL season. He set new career highs in games played (17), starts (16), interceptions (5), total tackles (80), and tackles-for-loss (3). Wright even collected his first-ever quarterback hit, forced a pair of fumbles, and recovered three more. What a year to have a year!
What I will always remember about Nahshon Wright’s season with the Bears are high ball-hawking highlights:
His revenge game pick-six in Week 1 against a Minnesota Vikings team that cut ties with him during the offseason was a treat to watch (even if it came in a losing effort. Wright’s other intereception against the Vikings was pretty dope, too, and it came in a game that was worthy of high praise. This pick against the Steelers led directly to a DJ Moore touchdown in a Chicago win against Pittsburgh. Remember when Wright killed the Tush Push in Philly on Black Friday? That was cool! He was on fire that November, which earned him the NFC’s Defensive Player of the Month award for that month. None of us saw any of this coming when Wright was scooped up off the scrap heap back in the spring.Nahshon Wright is about to become a free agent. And while he has publicly stated he would love an extension with the Bears, I’m not sure what it would look like or how feasible it would be for Chicago to fit him in under the cap. I’m open to running it back if the price is right. However, I feel as if there will be several teams with more cap space and possibly more playing time certainty for a player who finally began living up to his potential in 2025.
