Coming off a fabulous win in Carolina, the Blackhawks flew home to frozen Chicago overnight and now get to face the hottest team in the National Hockey League.
Will tonight be a revenge game for former Blackhawks prospect Dominic James? Can the Blackhawks carry the energy from last night’s win into the game tonight? And… what does a certain Blackhawk have in store for the coach of Canada’s Olympic team as a potential audition for a replacement spot (possibly for Brayden Point)?
Should be a fun one tonight — with an early home start, in black, on national television.
Note: neither team had a morning skate to we’re going with the same Blackhawks’ lineup from last night (assuming all are healthy and over illnesses) and also including Anthony Cirelli in Tampa’s lineup; he was reportedly coming back tonight.

Injury Report
Chicago Blackhawks
Teuvo Teräväinen is out. Shea Weber (retired) and Ryan Ellis (also retired) are out long term.Tampa Bay Lightning
Victor Hedman, Brayden Point, Ryan McDonagh, Emil Lilleberg and Scott Sabourin are on IR.What to Watch For
Don’t let the all-star team on IR for the Lightning deceive you. They’re 18-4-4 on the road this season and 9-0-1 in their last 10 games. It’s cold outside, but the Bolts are coming into Chicago on fire. The Blackhawks have stacked impressive wins together against the Jets and Canes. They have not been good in the second half of back-to-backs. Let’s see if the energy they had last night carries over to a home tilt. Please… please… try to stay out of the penalty box. Bedard has had some signature performances against Tampa in his career. And Jon Cooper is coaching Canada at the Olympics. He’s my pick to click tonight.Get Caught Up
