You couldn’t ask for a better start to a weekend. The Bears opened the NFL’s Week 7 slate of games with a win against the Patriots on Thursday Night Football. Friday’s weather in Chicago was gorgeous, and it looks like we’re in for more of the same on Saturday and Sunday. And yet, I know there will be plenty of fans who will want to lock in for the rest of the NFL slate of games. With that in mind, I’ve got you covered.
The folks at 506 Sports do a great job providing the weekly coverage maps for NFL games. This is what this week’s coverage looks like.
NFL Week 7: What to Watch With the Bears Having Already Won Their Game
NFL GAMES ON CBS (NOON)
Colts at Vikings — On the one hand, a Colts loss would put them closer to being sellers at the NFL Trade Deadline. As a Bears fan, I want this front office kicking the tires on the possibility of acquiring defensive tackle DeForest Buckner. The sooner the Colts realize they’re out of it, the sooner Chicago’s front office can explore Indianapolis as a trade partner. But on the other hand, I want to see the Vikings lose and fall from the ranks of the unbeatens. This game will be aired on CBS-2 in Chicago. Bengals at Ravens — Whether or not Ravens QB Lamar Jackson plays is the story to follow going into this one. Tyler Huntley is a perfectly cromulent backup, but Jackson squaring off against Begals QB Joe Burrow is a far more alluring matchup. Browns at Titans — This game has little value for Bears fans. However, maybe a Cleveland win pushes Tennessee closer to trading away a player like defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons. He would look good in a Bears uniform. Dolphins at Jets — A showdown between the team the Bears beat in Week 4 and one they’ll play in Week 14. If the Jets aren’t going to use Nahshon Wright, can they at least send him back to Chicago so Bears Defensive Coordiantor Dennis Allen can have some depth in the secondary? 49ers at Falcons — I still think the Falcons have a real shot to win the NFC South, but the 49ers are a buzzsaw right now. If you thought it was wild to see Bears fans take over Mercedes-Benz Stadium last week, just know that the 49ers are a fan base that can do the same. It might be another “home” game for Atlanta’s offense using the silent count. This game will air on FOX-32 Giants at Texans — Former Bears linebacker Tremaine Edmunds won’t play in this one after suffering a season-ending chest muscle injury. Ouch. Buccaneers at Panthers: It sounds like Bucs QB Baker Mayfield is returning to action. A thumb injury has kept him on the sidelines in recent weeks. Meanwhile, Carolina can solidify its chances to win a second straight NFC South crown by defending its home turf.THE LATE AFTERNOON SLATE
Packers at Lions (FOX) — A good old-fashioned NFC North Hate Watch. If there were a way for both teams to lose, I’d root for that on Sunday afternoon. I’m unsure if this one finishing in a tie would be beneficial to the Bears. At a minimum, It would make for some good schadenfreude. This game will air locally on FOX-32 in Chicago. Oct 11, 2026; Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA; Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love (10) is sacked by Chicago Bears defensive end Austin Booker (94) at the end of the second quarter at Lambeau Field. Not only would it slash Los Angeles’ playoff odds from 39% to 27%, but The Atheltic’s Playoff Simulator notes that it would also boost the Bears’ playoff odds by 1 percentage point, going from 79% to 80%. Go Raiders! Broncos at Cardinals (CBS) — The Cards are 2-4, but have wins against the Chargers and Rams — which would have been more impressive before the season started. Instead, we’re looking at wins against a pair of teams that are a combined 2-10. Meanwhile, the Broncos offense looks better with Head Coach Sean Payton calling plays. This is a Kevin Harlan game on CBS. Those games tend to be good, fun, and dramatic. Keep an eye on this one in the late window.Other NFL broadcasts this week: Steelrs vs. Saints in Paris (Sunday, 8:30 a.m. CT on NFL Network), Chiefs at Seahawks (SNF on NBC), Cowboys at Eagles (MNF on ESPN and ABC).
