Marquette University has announced Megan Hartlieb as the first assistant coach for the program. The school announced the addition of women’s swimming last May.
Hartlieb joins the staff that already includes head coach Joel Rollings who was announced as the programs first head coach last September. Rollings most recently was head coach at the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE).
“I am very excited to announce the hiring of Megan Hartlieb as the program’s assistant coach. Hartlieb brings valuable experience from her background in strength and conditioning, as well as experience competing in two Power Five conferences. As we prepare to launch our inaugural freshman class, we were looking for a strong, positive role model to lead the way—and Megan embodies the ideals we value at Marquette University. We’re thrilled to have her as part of our program,” said Rollings.
Hartlieb began her collegiate career at Kentucky spending two seasons with the Wildcats. She transferred to Iowa for her junior and senior seasons and graduated in 2025 with a degree in enterprise leadership. She was named to both the SEC Academic Honor Roll as well as the Big Ten Academic Honor Roll.
Hartlieb returns to her home state as she originally is from Mequon, Wisconsin. Mequon is a northern suburb of Milwaukee and about 30 minutes from the Marquette campus that is in downtown Milwaukee. While in high school, Hartlieb competed for Homestead High School and swam club with Schroeder Swim Team.
