CHICAGO BEARS INACTIVES VS. LOS ANGELES RAMS — The list of Chicago Bears inactives for the team’s playoff game against the Los Angeles Rams is OUT. As is one notable player.
Offensive lineman Braxton Jones is among the Bears inactives for Sunday night’s playoff battle against the Rams. Jones was thought to be a possible option to fill in at left tackle in place of an injured Ozzy Trapilo. However, Jones won’t even be active for the game. In fairness to Jones and the Bears, the offensive lineman hasn’t played an offensive snap since Week 4 and hasn’t been on the field in a game of consequence since Week 7 because of an extended stint on injured reserve. Hence, I can understand why he will sit among the Bears inactives tonight.

There was reporting on Saturday that All-Pro left guard Joe Thuney could slide to the left tackle spot, which is a position he played in a pinch for the Kansas City Chiefs last season. That would mean the Bears would need to put someone in Thuney’s place at left guard. It sounds like the team could go with Jordan McFadden or rookie Luke Newman. This seems like a roll of the dice. I hope it’s worth it.
