Former Florida offensive lineman Trent Brown, who is in his first season with the Houston Texans, had hoped to be able to play in Sunday’s AFC Divisional Round game against the New England Patriots.
After being held out of practice on Wednesday and Thursday before returning on Friday — albeit limited — Brown has been ruled inactive for the contest. According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, Brown “tried to go pregame” as he tested his ankle out. Instead, he’s been shut down for the day.
