Kenshi Yonezu’s domination of the Billboard Japan Hot 100 continues as “IRIS OUT” holds at No. 1 on the chart released Jan. 7.

The Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc theme stays atop the tally for a third consecutive week, extending its run to 13 total weeks at No. 1. Weekly streaming rises for a fourth straight week, while downloads surge to 240% of the prior frame.

Debuting at No. 2 is Kis-My-Ft2’s “&Joy.” The group’s 33rd single sold 94,748 CDs to lead sales, while placing at No. 36 for radio.

At No. 3 is HANA’s “Blue Jeans,” up three spots from last week. Momentum continues for the breakout girl group following their New Artist Award win at the Japan Record Awards and their first appearance on the year-end live music celebration Kohaku Uta Gassen. Eight songs by the act land on the chart, with seven posting gains: “ROSE” climbs 9-4, “NON STOP” comes in at No. 11, “My Body” moves 30-22, “Tiger” 34-27, “Drop” 41-30, “BAD LOVE” 38-33, and “Burning Flower” 50-35.

Chanmina — the rapper/singer who produced HANA — also places four songs on the chart: “SAD SONG” rises 81-36, “Harenchi” 66-44, “SAD SONG – From THE FIRST TAKE feat. No No Girls FINALISTS” places at No. 67, and “B-kyu” at No. 97. “SAD SONG – From THE FIRST TAKE feat. No No Girls FINALISTS” returns after about two months, while “B-kyu” charts again after roughly three months. Meanwhile, Mrs. GREEN APPLE’s “Darling,” following the group’s Japan Record Award Grand Prix win, climbs 12-7. The three-man band took the award for a third consecutive year, drawing widespread attention.

In other chart activity, numerous songs performed on NHK’s Kohaku Uta Gassen — which recorded a peak rating above 40% for the first time in five years — enter the tally. Four such songs land inside the top 10: Kenshi Yonezu’s “IRIS OUT,” HANA’s “ROSE,” AiNA THE END’s “On the Way” (No. 6) and Sakanaction’s “Kaiju” (No. 10). Other titles also post gains, including M!LK’s “Iijan,” which jumps 62-32, and ORANGE RANGE’s “Ikenai Taiyo,” which climbs 84-41.

The Billboard Japan Hot 100 combines physical and digital sales, audio streams, radio airplay, video views and karaoke data.
